Tea Room
At least from the 1940's and through the 1960's the Tea Room contained 5 tables that added seating capacity to the two long tables in the dining room. One of the regular patrons was 'Doc' Greenwood (Dr. John Greenwood). It is said that he always sat at a table in the far corner with his back to the wall and facing the door. Doc Greenwood's funeral was held here at the hotel and both his medical license and his funeral book are part of a collection of items that we have acquired and brought back to the hotel.
The Tea Room was the third area that we undertook regarding 'fixing up'. The ceiling was swirled by local craftsman Dave Lehey. We repaired plaster and replaced wainscoting as well as doing the wallpaper and adding a gas fireplace. The floor is the original from the late 1950's
